That single player stuff looks great! And this is just the Alpha? OMG!!!
LINUX OS: MINT 19.1 • DESKTOP: CINNAMON 2.X • CPU: i3 • RAM: 8GB • GPU: GTX960 • Thrustmaster T16000M •
Running D:U at resolution 1920x1080 unless otherwise noted in reports

VFX might still need a bit of polish, but again, alpha.
Interesting for things to come back to life all of a sudden, and at E3 of all places. Hopefully a good sign publicity-wise?

Wait until you guys see it, everything is better, ......and yep that is just mission 1......we have a lot coming - that folks will like.......and we are still polishing.....
And an all new Origin story to boot, we are reimagining the entire Descent Universe for a new generation of gamers and some of us oldsters too.

Please don’t take this the wrong way but it doesn’t seem right to be naming it just Descent. The games play completely different and it’s just going to confuse new people whether they're going for d:u or the classic. Think about someone new to it searching Steam/GOG/etc. and getting both games for results and the same thing with YouTube/Twitch/etc. videos... What about Google searches that find all the missions for the classic that are not compatible with d:u? What if a friend tells them to get Descent from the store and they end up getting the wrong one? How about the people who hate the classic and assume it’s another remake so they won’t give it any time of their day?
With a name like Descent: Underground, it’s clear that it’s not the classic game and easier to know which search results they want. Even naming it “Descent Universe” will be a good thing if you’re trying to move away from the Underground name. It’s clear that it’s not the classic and still gets those that have heard of Descent before…

Lots of new and good information they let out. And love seeing the new ship UI / enviroments / dynamic lighting, etc. Although, not sure if I am confused or what, but they keep emphasizing on how you guys were only making the multiplayer player til they arrived. Seems a few Wingman's Hangers that would disagree with that.
Overall sounds great what LittleOrbit is able to bring to the table, but hope they aren't taking everything away from you indie guys who did work for free (as he stated several times) because of your passion for the game. You guys are still the heroes in making this reboot of the series a reality.
