I am trying to make a mission for D2X-XL that is to have all custom high res robots and I am looking for some of the programs to create/edit these models

First, I am thinking I am going to use .oof Format, I have D3Edit but I need the .oof Editor program.   I had it in the past, but I lost my hard drive and for some reason the file did not get backed up.

Second, does anyone know how to animate the robot models? - for instance I want a robot to do something when firing or attacking; something else when shot and so forth.

I have the image manipulation capabilities to do the texture formats and know how to arrange the files in the .hog as well here.

I would appreciate any help here as well.

Ok, I got OOF Editor,

I am trying to launch but get a 429 error:

"ActiveX can't create object"

I wonder if modern Windows supports the older ActiveX calls. There were some serious security flaws with older ActiveX that they patched later on, IIRC.

I am using Windows 7 (64 bit), which I had before, I could use it then - I also got a can't find a 'whatever.dll' message when I was installing.

I had it working on the same configuration but as I may have said, I lost the HDD and I was not able to retain the installed files.

I have since looked for the requested DLL - found it, but am not sure where to put it. The installer says "Could not find on this computer"

I should know to fix this - I've done it numerous times but the solution completely escapes me at the moment.

Getting the OOFEditor working was key to completing Silent Fury last year.

I'll let you know when I get around to it biggrin.png
